New Poem “The End of Winter”

The End of Winter

The green grass appears
As the snow melts,
Declaring the end of winter time.
Perching on the roof top,
A bird begin to sing a tune,
Of change.

The frozen pond
Turns to liquid,
As the sun
Warms the sidewalks,
The sandy beach,
And our soul.

Green sprouts everywhere,
In a brightness of different shades.
Gone are red cheeks,
Cold icy lips,
Layered clothing,
And frosty fingertips.
